Our School

 
Leigh is one of five comprehensive high schools in Campbell Union High School District (CUHSD). Since 1962, Leigh has served residents of mostly single-family homes in the areas of Los Gatos and southwest San Jose. With low residential turnover, most students complete all four years at Leigh, and many parents of current students are also Leigh alumni.
 

Leigh provides a comprehensive curriculum that includes instructional programs designed for college-bound, Special Education, and career technical education (CTE) students. Students may elect to take the following Advanced Placement (AP) courses at Leigh:  

 

  • English Literature and Composition, English Language and Composition  
  • Calculus AB, Calculus BC, Statistics, Computer Science A 
  • Chemistry, Physics 1, Physics 2, Biology, Environmental Science
  • US History, World History, American Government, Macroeconomics, Psychology
  • Studio Art Drawing, Studio Art 2D Design
  • Spanish Language, Spanish Literature, French Language, Mandarin
  • Music Theory
 

Additionally, Leigh offers these honors/accelerated courses:

 

  • English 2, Chemistry, Musical Theater 4, Theater 4, IM 3 STEM
 
Leigh’s students have historically scored above state averages on required achievement tests as well as the SAT, ACT, and Advanced Placement tests. In 2019, about 80% of all seniors had met the A-G requirements for UC/CSU. A vast majority of Leigh graduates choose to attend college after graduation, with about 60% going straight to a 4-year program and about 35% going to a community college. Combined, fewer than 5% of Leigh seniors elect to join the military or workforce, attend a vocational school, or remain undecided about their plans at the time of graduation.
 
In addition to rigorous academics, Leigh boasts award-winning music, athletic, and visual arts programs and has sixty clubs to serve students' interests.
