Witnessing students become empowered, encouraged, and excited about learning skills that will linger after high school is most important in mentoring the next generation. I have been in service to students for nine+ years as a para educator and as a substitute teacher.

When not at work, I enjoy spending time with my two adult children and husband—a Leigh graduate, small-business owner, and “California aficionado” who led me to embrace the Golden State Warriors and other notable Bay Area sports teams. But, I still cheer on the Denver Broncos, having grown up (but not done yet!) in brilliant Colorado. There, I received a degree in political science (pre-law) and pursued post-graduate studies in the areas of English and marketing. This education enabled me to relocate to Silicon Valley and work as a writer at several high-tech companies and in theatre. A good move, I love my home in diverse California!
