We now know that school will be closed for the remainder of the school year, but learning is still happening remotely! The most recent update on Distance Learning is located at this LINK
Key Points
Attendance
Students need to do one or more of the following per period each week to be marked "present":
  • Participate in a facilitated learning session, when offered (live class periods on Mon & Tues)
  • Comment on a class post (School Loop, Google Classroom, or Canvas)
  • Submit an assignment (School Loop, Google Classroom, or Canvas)
  • Join a teacher's Google Meet/Zoom during Tutorial

Grading
  • Second Semester grades that go on the transcript will be Pass/No Pass
    • Please note that colleges have committed to accepting Pass/No Pass grades and many have shifted to that as well. We would not make decisions that put our students at a disadvantage when it comes time to apply to college
  • Assignments and work will count towards earning semester credit

Communication
  • Teachers will be communicating with their classes using digital means such as email and remind
  • Staff will likely be using Remind or *67 when calling families so please note that when calls are coming in from No ID callers
  • Your first point of contact for questions about a class should be the teacher of the class. They are the best person to answer your questions about getting on for classes and tutorials, completing assignments, grading, or any other class related questions

Behavior Expectations: Please reference Student Use of Technology for additional information
  • All school rules apply, even in a remote setting. See teacher communications for their specific expectations
  • Students are expected to act in a manner appropriate for school when interacting with teachers, students, and staff
  • Distance Learning requires vigilant attention to your profile icon(s), surroundings during video, backgrounds, etc. Treat the online classroom as you would a regular, in-person classroom
  • Failure to adhere to these expectations will result in progressive discipline
