Hi there! My name is Chidera Oyeka (pronunciation practice: CHIH-DARE-UH OH-YAY-KUH), and I am excited to join the Leigh family this academic school year (2021-2022). My family is originally from the country of Nigeria. but I am a Sacramento native. I received my undergraduate degree in Psychology with a minor in Arts from UC Merced (Go Bobcats!). I graduated from San Jose State during the 2020 pandemic, and received my graduate degree in Speech-Language Pathology. 

 

This is my second year as a speech pathologist, but I've worked in the special education field for 6 years now. I have always had a special passion for working with high school students, and I can't imagine myself in any other profession. However, my friends and family are likely to say I became a speech pathologist because I am a chatterbox. In my spare time I enjoy gaming and making cartoon and portraiture art. My door is always open for students to come in and chat, as well as share good anime recommendations!
