Welcome to Leigh High School, Home of the Longhorns

Leigh High School opened in 1962 and is one of five comprehensive high schools in Campbell Union High School District (CUHSD). Leigh serves residents in the areas of southwest San Jose and Los Gatos. Our school is committed to providing a well-rounded and dynamic educational, social, and emotional experience to our approximately 1800 students.

Leigh provides a comprehensive curriculum that includes instructional programs designed for college-bound, Special Education, and career technical education (CTE) students. Students have the opportunity to take Advanced Placement (AP) and honors/accelerated courses. In addition to rigorous academics, Leigh boasts award-winning music, athletic, and visual arts programs and has sixty clubs to serve students' interests.

A Little History

Leigh High School was school was named for Hugh A. Leigh, a leading farmer/horticulturist in the Valley of Heart's Delight. Leigh once had 180 acres in the area. Mr. Leigh's daughter, Hughana Leigh Cross, once lived in a farmhouse on the site of the school.
