My name is Ben Rademacher, also known as "Mr. R." by my students. I have taught Special Education for the past 2 years at Leigh High School; this will be my third year at Leigh teaching students on the autism spectrum. I teach up to 5 subjects a semester, with a typical core of English and Math plus other designated subjects each school year.
I attended the University of Houston as an undergraduate and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Nutrition and Foods. I later continued my education at San Jose State University and completed my preliminary Moderate/Severe Education Specialist Credential.
I grew up in Southern California (Lakewood), moved to Houston, Texas for about 8 years, and made my way back to California. My wife and I live in Gilroy with our two young boys. I enjoy spending time with my family and getting outdoors when possible. Outside of the classroom you will often find me with my family or church-based functions.
I am honored and privileged to work with, teach, and learn from the wonderful students who attend my classes.
