Course Selection: We will begin course selection next week, below are the dates for each grade level. Go to the Guidance page under Student Services to see a four-year plan that shows each course/pathway from 9th to 12th grade. There is also a link to the CUHSD Course Catalog where you and your student can read descriptions of the courses we offer. A copy of the Course Selection Form will be posted on this page over weekend.


Juniors 1/19 and 1/20 through US History

Sophomores 1/23 and 1/24 through English 2/2H

Freshman 1/26 and 1/27 through PE 9


Students who need help or have questions about selecting the right courses for them can attend one of the drop-in tutorials that will begin Jan 19th. The days of the week and location will be announced Tuesday when we return.


9th-11th Parent Information Nights: We are planning grade level information nights for the end of January/beginning of February. These evenings will provide parents with the information shared during our student course selection sessions and offer an opportunity for Q&A. The dates will finalized and emailed next week.


Ace the ACT - Learn a strategy for every question you'll face on the ACT - Spring 2017

The Catalyst ACT Bootcamp is a momentum-boosting seminar that arms students with go-to strategies.  It is offered in a bootcamp format, attendance to both days is required.


  • Class Dates and Time:Saturday, March 25th and Sunday, March 26th,9am to 1pm


  • Location: Leigh High School, Room TBD


  • Cost: Only $175!


  • Enrollment deadline:Wednesday, March 22nd- no walk-ins without prior enrollment!


Please note that a limited number of scholarships, funded by the HSC thru the College and Career Center budget, are available to students who need help covering the cost of this course.  Please contact your student's guidance counselor or the principal or vice-principal if you want to enquire about scholarship options.

AP/Elective Tutorials: As we prepare for 2017-18 course selection, it is important that students learn about the options for AP and Electives courses. There will be tutorial sessions from Jan 5th-Jan 19th that will provide the information needed to make the best choices.

Students considering an AP course are REQUIRED to attend a tutorial session and sign in as a verification of their attendance. Next week is the last week of these sessions.


Students considering regular electives are not required to attend but recommended to be sure they know what they want as courses will be offered based on student requests.


Parent Education: What Do You Consider Lethal? A Parent-Teen Workshop
