Meet Our Wellness Team
The Mental Health and Wellness Team includes our Leigh administrative staff, School Counselors, Cassy and Pacific Clinics Therapists, Wellness Coordinator, Wellness Center Planning and Outreach Specialist, Mental Health and Wellness Committee of Home & School Club, and Mental Health and Wellness related student clubs.

Carolina Mora Barney
Wellness Center Coordinator
Carolina manages the day to day activities of the Wellness Center. She checks students in and out, provides health education resources to students, and collaborates with the Wellness Team to connect students with counseling and community services. Carolina will set up mental health and wellness related programs at Leigh with an emphasis on student involvement.

Wellness Center Consultant
Priya is a licensed clinical psychologist with more than 15 years of clinical, research, consultation, and teaching experience. Priya's role as consultant for the Wellness Center includes collaborating with the Wellness Team to plan and execute the opening of the center. She will provide ongoing leadership and support to help set up mental health and wellness related programs at Leigh with an emphasis on student involvement and social-emotional learning. Funding for this role is provided by the Leigh Home & School Club.

Kristin is a parent at Leigh who collaborated with Principal Butler to create the Wellness Center. She continues to support the development of education and programming at the Wellness Center, as well as outreach to parents and students.
CASSY Therapists
One on one counseling is provided to our students through a district partnership with CASSY (Counseling and Support Services for Youth). CASSY is a nonprofit agency that partners with schools to provide professional mental health services to students in their academic setting. Our therapists are compassionate, competent and conveniently located right on campus. All services are free to our students and their parents. Sammi is a CASSY therapist with over 4 years of providing school-based mental health services to children and teens. She enjoys supporting youth with their mental health needs and hearing about their lived experiences. Her self care practice includes macrame, bouldering, and watching comedy shows. Pacific Clinics Therapists
One on one counseling is provided to our students through a district partnership with Pacific Clinics. Pacific Clinics is one of the largest behavioral health treatment providers in California. One of the programs provided by Pacific Clinics is early intervention and therapy to students and families who are suffering from a mental health issue. These services utilize evidence-based practices and include parent workshops, youth groups, and individual and family therapy. Our Pacific Clinics therapists works in collaboration with our teachers and parents to support our students emotional and academic success. Behavior Specialist | Pacific Clinics
Angelica is a UC Santa Cruz graduate and behavior specialist who has been in the mental health field for two years. She is in the Wellness Center throughout the week providing support to the general student population at Leigh. Her role is to offer tier one support and crisis intervention to all students which includes managing students' wellness breaks, offering brief check-ins, providing guidance on coping skills, and helping redirect students to the proper resources based on their needs.
