About Ms. Burton

 

Hi All! My name is Kendyl Burton. I currently teach IM1 and IM3/STEM. I've been teaching math since 2015. Before teaching at Leigh, I taught Middle School math and AVID for 7 years in San Jose. I've taught advanced math classes at an afterschool academy for 7 years. I've also taught ballet and yoga for many years. 

 

I attended Santa Clara University and received a Bachelors of Science in Mathematics as well as a Bachelors of Arts in Theater Arts with an emphasis in dance. I received my Masters in Secondary Education through Grand Canyon University.

 

I am a certified yoga instructor. I've also been a ballerina since age 4. When I'm not teaching math in the classroom, standing on my head in the yoga studio, or twirling around the dance floor, I love spending time with my two beautiful children, staring at the ocean, and tie-dyeing.
