About Ms. Deel
Hi, my name is Teri Deel and I’m so excited to be joining the counseling team at Leigh High School this year!
I’m a Nashville, Tennessee native and just moved to California this July. I earned my B.S. in Psychology from Welch College and my M.A. in School Counseling from Roosevelt University. This October I’ll be marrying my fiancé who is a Bay Area native and gaining a stepdaughter.
This will be my 10th year as a high school counselor, and I absolutely love what I do. I really enjoy helping students map out their academic path during high school and figuring out what they hope to pursue after. I’ve been lucky enough to serve as both an AP Coordinator and an IB Counselor during my career and encourage students to challenge themselves with more rigorous curriculum.
I’m looking forward to a great school year here at Leigh!
