About Ms. Desouki
I’m a teacher, a fencer, and a world traveler. I’ve been to more than 25 countries (and yes, I keep count). If you’re wondering why I’m not around for summer school, it’s because that’s my prime travel season—you’ll probably find me on a plane instead of in a classroom.
I have been teaching for since 2015. I started out as a math teacher, then worked as a Montessori teacher, and eventually found my passion in special education. I’ve taught elementary, middle, and now high school since 2023 here at Leigh, supporting students in the executive program.
I currently teach grades 9–12 for students with IEPs, and I’m lucky to have an amazing team that helps support students in their general education classes. Over the years, I’ve worked with students on the Autism spectrum, as well as students with emotional and intellectual disabilities.
