About Mr. Sarimeseli

I’m Bilal Sarimeseli, and I’ve been teaching physics for over 14 years. This year at Leigh High School, I’m thrilled to be facilitating both on-level physics and AP physics courses. My professional journey has been fueled by a deep passion for physics, a subject that has fascinated me since my high school days. Beyond teaching, I enjoy discussing the philosophical and social implications of physics, helping students see the subject as more than just equations and theories.

I hold an M.Sc. in Teaching Physics and Mathematics and an M.Ed. in Secondary School Physics Education. My academic background has equipped me with the tools and knowledge to inspire and educate the next generation of physicists and curious minds.

Outside of the classroom, I live in San Jose with my family. In my free time, you’ll often find me hiking or working on model aircraft kits, a hobby I approach with the same meticulousness and curiosity as I do physics. I’m deeply excited to be part of the Leigh High School community and look forward to sharing my passion for physics with my students.

I believe that education is about connecting with young people and igniting a passion for learning. My goal is to help students see the universe as a vast book of physical laws, full of opportunities for exploration and discovery. I’m committed to fostering an environment where every student feels capable of understanding and loving physics.
