About Ms. Steingart

My name is Michelle Steingart, and I’m honored to serve as the principal of Leigh High School. A Sunnyvale native, I earned my Biology degree from Brown University and began my teaching career at El Camino High School while completing my credential at Notre Dame de Namur University. For the past 21 years, I’ve served as both a teacher and assistant principal at Palo Alto High School. I also hold a Master’s in Education with a focus on Curriculum and Instruction.

Outside of school, I enjoy walking my dogs, running, gardening, and cheering on our local sports teams.I’m thrilled to join the Leigh community for the 2025–26 school year and look forward to partnering with you to support and inspire our students.
