About Ms. Lesser

 

My name is Nikki Lesser, but you can simply call me "Mrs. Nikki" when you come see me in the Health Clinic. This is my first year at Leigh High School after coming over from Monroe Middle School, where I was also the health clerk. I will be available with a warm smile and helping hand whenever students aren't feeling well or get hurt somewhere on campus.

 

I was born and raised in San Jose, graduated from Presentation High School and then San Jose State University with a degree in broadcast journalism. Before starting this new chapter of my life in education, I spent 20 years in talk radio. I hosted my own show on KGO Radio and was a reporter at KCBS. I have always wanted to find a way to support public education and I am so happy to start a new career here at Leigh.

 

I am a rollercoaster junkie and my family just spent the summer driving cross country to ride some of the fastest rollercoasters in the United States. In my spare time, I love watching movies, reading books and spending time with my husband, two kids and dog Nugget.
