About Mr Van Benthuysen

 

EXPERIENCE - My name is Jason Van Benthuysen "Mr. VB" to my students, and this is my 8th year at Leigh and my 25th year in the district.  I have taught Geography, World History, U.S. History, Government, Economics, AP Government, and SDAIE History over my 25 years.  I have taught all grades from 9th to 12th.  This year I am teaching 5 sections of AP Macroeconomics. 

 

EDUCATION - I have a B.A. in History from the University of Arizona, a Teaching Credential from National University, and a Masters degree in Administration from San Jose State University.

 

PERSONAL - I am from San Jose and my mom and dad met at Leigh High School.  My dad graduated in 1964 and my mom in 1966.  I have coached 19 seasons of baseball, 6 seasons of football, and 1 season of field hockey during my years of service in the Campbell Union High School District.  "It's a great day to be a Longhorn!"
