Cynthia Williams

My name is Cynthia Williams. This have been working in education since 2000. I have been at CUHSD since 2009, all of them at Leigh High School.

I currently teach grades 9-12 for students with IEPs. I teach, and have a team that helps support students in their general education classes. This year, the team consists of a classroom therapist who works on school based therapy (think prioritizing missing assignments), a behavior coach that works with behaviors, and a 1:1 that supports 1 student in the general education environment.

I have worked with students on the Autism spectrum for 20 years and students with Emotional Disturbance for over 20 years. I did my undergraduate studies at State University College of NY at Buffalo, then moved to California where I completed my Masters Degree at San Jose State University. I have a multiple-subject credential along with an Educational Specialist credential and Autism Authorization.

I enjoy reading, personal finance blogs, spending time with family and traveling with friends.
