On October 26th, November 3rd and November 16th in the evening and virtually, the CUHSD College and Career Specialists will be hosting 1:1 support and Q&A workshops for families who have questions about their application.

The cost of a college education continues to rise, which may lead some families to assume college is too expensive for them. However, this Financial aid 101 webinar will help families understand the actual costs and discover ways to pay for a college education. In addition, we will cover the financial aid forms needed and ways to simplify the process of applying for aid.

In this webinar, students and parents will examine recruiting from an educational standpoint to learn how to ask the right questions, self-recruit to achieve their athletic goals, and avoid the win a scholarship distractions from popular media and for-profit recruiting services. We will cover the latest trends in athletic recruiting, including specialization, early commitments, the rise of club sports, the nuances of NESCAC and Ivy league recruiting, the accelerated timeline, and pandemic's impact on recruiting from both the coaches’ and students’ perspectives.
Mission College Hybrid Open House | Thursday, December 2nd – Saturday, December 4th
Prospective students and their families are invited to connect with faculty and support programs to learn more about all that Mission College has to offer! Synchronous workshops featuring different disciplines and in-person enrollment support will be offered throughout the week. California College Fairs (Virtual)
The California State University (CSU
), University of California (UC
) and Association of Independent California College and Universities (AICCU
) are partnering together to provide seven virtual college fairs this October. All UC and CSU campuses, and a majority of independent colleges and universities from the AICCU, will participate.
All events are free, and all California students are encouraged to attend! While fairs are scheduled in regions, students can attend any date that is best for them.

Art Enrichment Opportunity - Free Pre-College Classes
The Academy of Art University
in San Francisco is offering high school students an art enrichment opportunity called the Pre-College Art Experience. For the fall semester the university is offering 20 art and design classes students can take through their online portal that introduces them to worlds of art they might not have had the opportunity to pursue. The classes are completely tuition-free. Learn more about these pre-college classes.
