Christina McQueen
My name is Christina McQueen and I teach Spanish 2 at Leigh High School.
I attended UNR as an undergrad with a major in Spanish and a minor in marketing. I received my Masters in Education from Sierra Nevada College.
Outside of school I love playing in the ocean or in the mountains, spending time with my family and friends, cooking, and yoga. I also love playing frisbee with my dog, Sunny at the beach.
The aspect of my job that I enjoy the most is providing students with a structured, safe, and welcoming learning environment so students can thrive learning a new language with their peers. I am also passionate about the Spanish language and culture and hope students enjoy the content and the different ways they will acquire the language.
I became a teacher because I believe in community involvement, compassion and care for youth, and the power of education. I love my job and feel lucky to be a part of the Leigh High community!
