About Ms. Gonzalez
Hi! My name is Andrea Gonzàlez, and I am the newest school counselor at Leigh. I am a first-generation Latina graduate from San José State University with a B.A. in Early Childhood Education. I earned my M.A. in School Counseling from the University of San Francisco.
Being bilingual and bicultural has allowed me to help connect and engage with our Spanish-speaking families, students, and support staff in connecting and better serving the community. As a Parent and Community Specialist and High School intern, I worked and collaborated with parents, school staff, and Student Services to support McKinley-Vento, Justice Engaged, Newcomers, and credit-deficient students.
Outside of work, I enjoy attending concerts and spending time with my pup, Miss FuFu.
