I am now in my 13th year as a PE teacher at Leigh. Within the department, I teach both the PE 9 and PE 10 courses. Over the years, I have had the privilege of being the head baseball coach (2008-2013), while also being the athletic director (2009-2012). My passion has always been sports and competition within sports, but my main passion in this area is baseball. I am currently in my seventh year as the pitching coach/recruiting coordinator at Ohlone College, while having the fortunate opportunity of helping the program win four conference championships, along with a state finals appearance in the six seasons I’ve been on staff. I have been coaching for over 16 years throughout the collegiate, high school and club levels.
On the personal side, I am married to my wonderful wife, Marisa, who has given me my most pride and joy in my life, my two kids Jacob (8) and Isla (2). Before moving here in August of 2007, I earned my bachelor’s degree from Fresno State University. I have also obtained my master’s degree from Ohio University. Although almost all of my students never know where this is, some surprise me when I ask if they know the area where I grew up, which is in the Marysville/Yuba City area. I graduated from Lindhurst HS in 1999!
I enjoy spending my off time with my kids and wife, while also rooting for my three favorite professional teams (Oakland A’s, Oakland Raiders, and the San Jose Sharks)!
